When you wake up each morning, what gets you out of bed?
What is the real reason you get up and start your day?
Is the answer work?
Is it just a job… or is it something you find fulfilling?
Regardless of whether or not you enjoy your work, I think it is important to ask yourself what it is that you truly love. Beyond your job and responsibilities, why do you really get up every morning?
Imagine waking up every day with a feeling of excitement. Imagine waking up with a true sense of purpose because you know what you do is the reason why you are here.
When we focus on the things we feel passionate and excited about, we fuel our lives, and the lives of the people around us.
You don’t need to be the next multi-million dollar entrepreneur; this isn’t about money or fame or “success”. It’s about living from your heart space.
What excites you? What do you truly enjoy? Because whatever that is, is what you should be inviting more of into your life.
It can be as simple as being passionate about loving your family or kids. But whatever it is, do it with all of your heart.
It’s okay not to know exactly where your true passions lie, and it’s okay to experiment as well. If there’s something that you think might be exciting or may resonate with you, give it a try. And if you do know what you love but feel handcuffed by long hours at a job, or family responsibilities, just start small and go from there… even if it’s just baby steps.
When we are engaged in something that brings us joy and excitement, we are in alignment with our natural state. Time loses it’s grip on us, as our presence and attention make it effortless to get lost in the moment.
“Don’t ask yourself what the world needs; ask yourself what makes you come alive. And then go do that. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive!”
There is a gift inside you that is awaiting to emerge.
