The Most Astounding Fact

Let Neil DeGrasse Tyson’s Words Take You To Infinity

I first saw this video back in 2012, and I’ve rewatched it numerous times since.

I don’t think anything will ever compare to the way it made me feel the first time I saw it, but I still get chills and a warm feeling in my heart every time I watch it.

What really gets me is the way the audio and video match and move with the sound of Neil’s voice as he delivers this powerful message.

Check it out:

This video was produced and edited by Max Schlickenmeyer.  You can check out his YouTube channel here.

I exported an audio version of this video, and for a while, I used to listen to it every day while on a run.  That feeling of connection to the whole universe fills me up with joy.

“. . . so that when I look up at the night sky, and I know that yes . . we are part of this universe, we are in this universe . . but perhaps more important than both of those facts, is that the universe is in us. When I reflect on that fact, I look up, many people feel small because they’re small and the universe is big, but I feel big . . . because my atoms came from those stars.”

Stay inspired 🙂
